Jameson Kenerly: Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen 2012
Miss Capital City's Outstanding Teen
3rd Runner-Up, Preliminary Talent Winner, Teens-In-Action Award Finalist
Last year, on my 18th birthday, I placed my 2012 Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen crown on my successor, the beautiful and talented MGOT 13 Kelly Hutchinson. I looked out at my incredible Miss Georgia Family and felt like the most blessed girl alive and I knew I had grown tremendously in life-changing ways during my year representing this organization. I will forever choose to smile because it happened and know that I am a better person because of all of you. This pageant week finds me as a happy, very busy, UGA sophomore (Biological Sciences major with pre-medical intent), one of UGA’s Feature Twirlers, a member of the Honors Program, UGA’s Student Government Association’s Freshman Forum, Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, and UGA’s Miss Sorority Row. Boy, it truly has been a blast! My year as Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen definitely helped prepare me for this past year and I am forever grateful for that. I continually feel so blessed by all of the opportunities I was given during my reign, by the people that I’ve met through this fabulous organization, and by the relationships that I have formed with some of the world’s most wonderful people. My heart overflows with gratitude and I pray for whomever becomes our newest member of the Miss Georgia Outstanding Teen family, for I know that she has no idea what lies ahead, how special she will feel, and how her life will forever be changed.
