I grew up in the historic, beautiful coastal  city of Savannah, Georgia. I was attending Armstrong College in Savannah when I entered the Miss Savannah Pageant and was 18 years old.  At the Miss Georgia Pageant I won talent in my division performing a Flamenco dance and also won the swimsuit in my division. After winning the Miss Georgia Pageant had the honor of representing my state in the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City with the wonderful Bert Parks as emcee. In the 60’s everyone had to wear “White”.. white gowns and one piece white swimsuits.

After my reign of Miss Georgia I moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia State University. I also started my career in Acting/modeling with Atlanta Models & Talent in 1964 booking many print ads and commercials  for national clients such as Delta, Coca Cola, Sprite and many other national companies and products. I married Robert Young Atlanta native and real estate developer. We will be married this year 50 years.We have two children, Heather Young Brandon, and Alan Young. After the children , I devoted my time to being “Mom” and also an active real estate agent in the family development company. I am “Mimi” to three adorable grandchildren , Elise, Marcelo and Patric ages 5, 3, and 8 months old. As of 2012, I am again active with Atlanta Models & Talent booking , Commercials, and an upcoming television series.

I am a  (MOA) accredited judge and actively judging pageants, active in many civic associations and clubs,  member in the Women In Film Atlanta, and also member of Georgia Production Partnership (Film Industry).
