Miss Georgia 1971, Cynthia Cook Robinson

As Miss Cobb County, I had the best training and support anyone could ever ask for.  As a result, I won Miss Georgia 1971 and was a Preliminary Talent Winner, in Miss America and placed in the Top Ten.  As wonderful as those events, nothing has meant more than the friendships that I have made, through the Miss America system.

Presently, I live in Smyrna, Ga. and have continued my career in Marketing for OnSite Rehab Physical Therapy. I stay active and do not anticipate retiring,  in the near future.

My last year has been a mix of joy and sadness.  My sweet mom, Trudy, passed away in July at the age of 98.  However, our joy has been the birth of my first grandchild.  Noah Richard Robinson ,who is  4 1/2 months old.  He was named after my late husband, Dr. Richard Robinson.

My son and daughter in law, are the best parents imagineable. Tony is a Consultant and his wife Jenny is a R.N.   My daughter continues to be my rock and is an Attorney in Atlanta.

Life is wonderful and I am so blessed to have been a part of the Miss Georgia family.

  1. Hi, Cynthia. I ran into Richard Spearman at lunch today in Hapeville, and he had just found out about Lynda. It’s been a tough 4 1/2 months for me, but God and friends are helping me cope with life. I’m getting used to it, and having John/Amy next door is a real blessing. I gave him my cell to give to you and Gay, and I would love to hear from you. It’s 404-520-5516. You have a good looking family, give my best to Tony & Angie. Ed
